ABOUT MATT RAUCH - SEARCH ENGINE MARKETING SPECIALIST IN AUSTIN TEXAS

Matthew Rauch - Web Architect / Search Engine Marketing Specialist

Matt is mainly responsible for website architecture and technology interface requirements. While managing front-end and back-end technical requirements, he lends unique insight to help drive overall web integration from both technical and marketing perspectives.

Matt has deep experience in internet marketing, in particular, as it relates to applied technologies. He is one of the founders of BridgeOne Market Solutions, Inc, and since 2002, has been responsible for all BridgeOne related technology including website architecture and development, hosting, databases, email, traffic reporting, and keyword generation. He has personally developed over 40 web properties to support both Broadband Locators and numerous SEO clients in that time. In 2003, he was contacted by the V.P. of Operations from Overture.com (now Yahoo! Search Marketing) for bringing down the entire system. It took him 20 consecutive hours to overload the capacity of their systems by hand using only an Excel spreadsheet to generate keyword lists and their online interface to upload terms. They ended up tripling their systems capacity within 90 days, and also made it clear they needed to put significantly more resources into their Broad Match technology. Over the past 4 years, with extremely limited resources, he has helped to create overall internet generated revenues in excess of $40 million.

Previously, Matt served as a Quality Assurance and Usability Specialist and Customer Service Manager with Mall.com, Inc, then a software company seeking to create an integrated shopping cart which would allow consumers to purchase products from numerous different national brand merchants in a single online transaction. In October of 2000, due to the pressure of the dot com bubble, corporate funding for Mall.com, Inc ceased. The Mall.com website survived while the company made a business model shift into the online marketing and advertising sales space. During this transitional period, Matt survived two major rounds of layoffs bringing headcount from over 70 down to 13.

With the second version of Mall.com, Matt served as the Internet Marketing Manager and was responsible for managing over 2,500 individual client accounts consisting of over 625,000 individual keyword bid placements. Over the next two years, Mall.com was able to grow headcount back over 70 while he was able to leverage findwhat.com to generate and allocate up to 1.1 million qualified clicks per month at an average cost of less than $0.04 per click. During this time, he was also the point of contact for up to 70 sales representatives to support client traffic issues and supplied specialized client trend reports as well as emergency client contact. He also aided in the design and development of an in-house reporting tool giving him the ability to project each clients final ROI. This allowed for a more intelligent advertising spend which increased renewal rates by over 400% in the first 90 days. His contributions to this project included: project lead, web server log file structure, database structure, calculations for complex SQL Database queries, and web interface requirements.

Prior, Matt served as a Purchasing Manager and Sales Executive for telecommunications wholesaler Teledynamics, LLP, where he formed and managed both B2B and B2C client accounts along with managing supplier-side relationships including Sanyo, AT&T and Panasonic. During his 10 months with Teledynamics, he was brought in on the company's largest client account, GTE, to assist with product supply and shipping logistics, and was also able to secure AbleComm, Inc, one of the Worlds largest Certified Dealers of Panasonic Business Telephone Systems. In November of 1999, Matt secured the bulk of a new and limited supply Panasonic consumer telephone line by leveraging his extensive online client-base allowing him to break the company's one month sales record by almost 85%.

In 1997, Matt earned his Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Winona State University in Winona, Minnesota.
