Phili Deals McNabb To Washington

As initially reported by Jay Glazer of FOXSports.com, the Washington Redskins sent their 2010 2nd round pick (#37 overall in this years NFL Draft) and a 3rd or 4th round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft to the Philadelphia Eagles in a trade for QB Donovan McNabb.

Washington made no contract extension offer to McNabb (he is in the last year of his current contract) as a part of getting the deal done. Even though the Redskins looked to be a late entry into the McNabb sweepstakes, their willingness to offer up a Top 40 pick in this years NFL Draft was apparently enough to get Philladelphia to pull the trigger.

My Take:
This is a great deal for both sides. Phili gets a very high pick for a player they were going to have to let walk after the season given the way Kolb preformed last year. And Washington finally gets a top flight QB...and one who's used to working with less than sperb wide receivers.

Fantasy Impact:
Consider both McNabb and Kolb #1 QB's in leagues of 12 or less teams.
